Namib Mills is recruiting an Inspiration Center Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The purpose of the centre is to offer a professional space for training and education on professional cooking / baking techniques, SME upliftment, a venue for functions (birthdays, team buildings etc.), product development (internal), hospitality and catering
- The position requires a dynamic individual to plan and organise events , run a smooth operation of the Center and being responsible for catering, running the daily Lunch Deck as well as facilitate cooking classes, whilst promoting Namib Mills / Namib Poultry products
Duties
- Events coordinating (Budgets, event detail, vendor negotiations, communication, site management)
- Catering (supplying meals, catering contracts, menu’s sourcing of ingredients, transport & collection of catering)
- Product development in conjunction with Brand & Product innovation team – food photography & aesthetics
- Training – Developing training opportunities for suppliers within the food industry and provide training and workshops to suppliers within the industry needs
- Administration in conjunction with the Marketing (Reporting, budgets, meetings, correspondence & databases
- Plan, Co-ordinate, execute and manage all elements of the Inspiration Center and Marketing of the center (social media / website)
Requisites
- Grade 12 (NQF 4) with Relevant Diploma/Degree in Hotel/Hospitality industry
- Chef experience will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 4 Years experience is preferred in progressing event/catering management
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in a senior role in an Event/Catering environment
- Namibian citizen
- Valid driver’s licence (Code B)
- Excellent mastering of the Microsoft suite
- Previous experience on Samba POS will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills (verbal & written)
- Excellent and professional presentation skills
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills
