FNB Namibia is recruiting a Collections Head, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Defines, develops and oversees the end to end collections function in the business unit and drives the collections strategy and synergies Manage and control pre-legal and legal recovery operations for FNB Botswana, to minimise provisions and maintain arrears at acceptable levels May interact with other departments with regard to credit strategy and manages a department of staff or areas
Duties
- Ensure maintenance of loss provisions within agreed business strategy parameters to ensure receipt of proceeds to minimise losses and maximise profits
- Reduce the age of the arrears, book to lower NPL ratio within risk appetite for optimal risk management
- Manage the arrears and collections processes to ensure effective management of loan book of the bank whilst solving for customer excellence
- Evaluate and authorize provisions and write-offs within discretionary limits of delegated authority to ensure the most optimal recovery of funds, and refer those outside authority limits to the applicable committees
- Manage a team of dynamic individuals to be engaged and function optimally in an environment that is dynamic and ensuring growth and continuous improvement
Requisites
- Have a Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or Law
- Management courses completed will be an advantage
- Have 5 to 8 years of experience in banking, credit and/or collections space in a senior role
