Junior Packing Manager

Duties

• Administration:
• Accurate production reporting
• Accurate personnel administration
• Compliance with company standards and requirements regarding administration practices
• All admin of incoming raw material
• Daily and monthly reporting on operational activities within department
• Timeous submission of documentation as required
• Operational:
• Performing of operational planning and the timeous communication thereof
• Ensure the smooth-running of operations
• Stock Control
• Co-ordinating with other plants to ensure optimal capacity
• Daily Production Planning
• Ensure equipment is functional and managed in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Minimise waste and consciously improve efficiency
• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered
• Manage process and administration of incoming raw materials and packaging materials
• Staff Management:
• Ensure training and development as per ISO standards
• New employee enrolment in accordance with company standards
• Appointments in accordance with relevant laws and company procedures
• Ensure high level of performance
• Initiating disciplinary enquiries, handling of grievances and the output of all staff
• Provides guidance as required
• Ensure compliance to company standards and procedures
• Supervise staff to ensure good quality of work
• Ensure good human resource practises
• Communicate performance requirements timeously with staff
• Productivity and efficiency of staff performance
• Ensure staffing shifts and overtime falls within budget
• Quality and Hygiene Control:
• Ensure good systems are in place
• Provision of good quality
• Provision of acceptable hygiene
• Compliance with ISO standards
• Ensure good housekeeping
• Compliance with company standards
• Compliance with statutory requirements

Requisites

• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with Bachelor of Science Degree (NQF7) or Bachelor of Commerce Degree (NQF7) with 5 years relevant experience
• OR
• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with Bachelor of Technology Degree (NQF7) or Bachelor of Engineering Degree (NQF7) with 5 years relevant experience
• OR
• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with Relevant Diploma (NQF 6) with 8 years relevant experience
• Other:
• Technical background will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of ISO, HACCP and Health and Safety Standards
• Computer literate with a good mastering of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Driver’s License
• Proficient in English
• Namibian citizen
