FNB Namibia is recruiting a Contractor, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To perform duties on a temporary basis as allocated by the business unit
Duties
- Provide excellent service to internal and external customers and ensure that transactions are processed as per the laid down procedures and in terms of the Exchange Control rulings and regulations
- Receive daily SWIFT payment instructions from team leader on queue and ensure that customers are contacted timeously for completing of Balance of Payment forms, confirmation of rates, etc
- Ensure that due diligence is done before actioning instructions (Signatures, indemnity, cover of funds, account numbers to be debited/credited etc)
- Ensure accurate and timeous processing of payments on designated “On-Hold” queue and the clearing of suspense accounts/ Clearing ques daily (payments with hard hold/insufficient funds/pocket savings statuses)
- Attend to customer queries escalated/ referred by the FX Service Desk/Emails/direct phone queries with an understanding of the impact of the major incident/service failure on the client and the bank, complete the incident report respectively
Requisites
- Have a Grade 12 with 27 points and a relevant tertiary qualification
- Have Minimum 2-3 years banking experience in foreign exchange (SWIFT payment) with a fair knowledge of the Exchange Control Rulings
- Are a team player with a learning attitude
