Old Mutual is recruiting a Branch Manager, to be based in Oshakati, Namibia.
Duties
- Develop and maintain optimum relationships with short-term insurance intermediaries and other stakeholders
- Maintain a high level of service delivery
- Grow and manage a sustainable book of business in line with business expectations
- Monitor book of business and implement remedial action, where required
- Optimise customer service and relations to ensure customer attraction and retention
- Ensure compliance to policies and procedures
- Identify and provide strategic insight on market trends
- Manage operational aspects of the Otjiwarongo office
- Cultivate a climate for optimal staff performance
Requistes
- Namibian citizen
- Relevant degree in Finance/Commerce/Business Administration
- Minimum of five years’ experience in short-term insurance underwriting/claims and two years’ management experience
- Track record of sales management success and proven ability in establishing and growing sales teams
- Computer literacy is essential
- Proven ability to meet and exceed tough business targets on a consistent basis
- Superb communicator with a passion for excellent customer service and relationship building
- Ability to identify and develop business opportunities
- Ability to operate within relevant regulatory requirements
- Have exceptional interpersonal relationship skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours and to travel
- Possess a valid driver’s licence and own a reliable motor vehicle
