Description
- The team leader is responsible for managing and helping Underwriting and Processing team
Duties
- Managing the Underwriting and Policy administration team and ensure that they perform their duties correctly
- Manage staff performance monthly and take corrective action where needed
- Drive and manage high levels of staff productivity
- Provide training on an ongoing process to new and existing staff members
- Adhoc training sessions to be given on areas where needed
- All support provided to team and management to enable efficient daily operations
- Policy anniversary success rate
- Actively retain policies where cancellation instruction received
- New business closure of batches and acceptance
- Post Loss Underwriting
- Implement and enforce underwriting rules and processes
- Premium confirmation done according to the confirmation guideline
- Ensure that credit control listing is clear
- Ensure that underwriting is administered within given turnaround times and as correctly and cost effective as possible applying sound underwriting principles
- Assisting with all Adhoc underwriting projects
Requisites
- Matric/Grade 12
- 4 Years experience in the insurance industry
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Relationship and networking ability
- Business and Financial understanding
- Knowledge of operating methodologies of insurance industry
- Other Skills Required:

- Knowledge of I90 will be an advantage
