Nedbank is recruiting a Manager Credit Risk (ICU), in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To leverage stakeholder relationships and sound credit management principals to ensure optimal debt collection in line with Nedbank’s business strategy to reduce the Bank’s risk and provisions
Duties
  • Lead a team and make decisions within mandate to effectively optimize collections to reduce the Bank’s risk and provisions
  • Leverage internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure the appropriate debt collection procedures and processes are followed timeously
  • Implement sound credit risk management by providing advice on specialized credit risk matters to sales and direct reports
  • Ensure efficient work ethic and achievement of business unit strategies and goals by proposing innovative ideas to enhance Business processes that facilitate customer experience with regards to client rehabilitation, collections and exit
  • Reduce business and reputational risk by ensuring compliance with legislation and internal standards
  • Manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements, ensuring a clear vision, agreeing on goals and objectives, providing regular feedback on performance, recognizing and rewarding achievements
  • Take appropriate corrective action where required
  • Monthly reporting on the performance of the non-performing portfolios
  • Serve as member of various credit committee as and when required
  • Actively contribute to enhancing the culture of the team and Bank by participating in the development and implementation of action plans identified through culture surveys
Requisites
  • Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Preferred Qualification:
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Law Degree or Accounting & Finance Degree
  • Minimum Experience Level:
  • A relevant professional designation will be an added advantage Minimum of five (5) experience in banking environment specializing in collections management and restructures or Credit Origination/Granting
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
