Description
- An individual within the Data Scientist role is responsible for modelling complex problems in the organisation, discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques
Duties
- Content Development:
- Continuously engage with stakeholders to develop and implement website content that is Search Engine Optimised and generates desired analytics to keep the brands relevant
- Provide content in various forms such as written content, blogs, briefing video requirements from business for intranet and external websites and includes content for platforms that are currently not utilized
- Continuously engage with respective stakeholders to improve and update content on the intranet platform
- Engage with Group IT to troubleshoot any technical challenges when the need arises
- Work with the Group Brand and Corporate Affairs and their suppliers to increase the reach of websites, optimise SEO and build repeat usage of Bank Windhoek and CPW websites
- Develop and implement a communication roll-out plan to encourage staff & clients to use company-owned online solutions
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish, build, manage and retain relationships with critical internal stakeholders (such as Customer Contact Centre, Treasury, Retail, Business, CIB, Trust and Estate, Specialist Finance, HR, Procurement, MCCS and Risk) and external stakeholders and suppliers
- Develop a close partnership with Group IT is required to ensure that website and subsite development aligns with content development
- Take the lead on Google Analytics, QR Code Generating tool, Meltwater, suppliers and other digital monitoring/measurement tools, ensuring that digital metrics are implemented, consistently reported, and widely used
- Sales lead and relationship management: Manage relationships with the Customer Contact Centre, i-Lounge, CIB Contact Centre and CPW Service Centre, and work with the teams to address any platform or procedural challenges
- Manage the relationship between MCCS and Group IT as a critical stakeholder to ensure alignment and budget allocation for development as required by business
- Manage relationships between MCCS and respective business units for the improvement of the websites and intranet content and solutions
- Website Updates and Uploads:
- Upload media releases
- Upload carousel images to support campaigns
- Uploading information that is crucial for immediate consumer consumption such as Fees and Charges information, Treasury updates etc
- Briefing Group IT on development requirements and ensuring they deliver on business needs through their suppliers
- Expertise:
- The person should have sufficient knowledge and understanding of media studies, web development, Informatics, user experience design, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) acumen, public relations or communication
- Strong writing skills
- Strong project management skills
Requisites
- Degree in Journalism and Communication Technology or Informatics
- User Experience Design Certificate
- Project Management and Web Development experience are an advantage
