Nedbank is recruiting a Regulatory Officer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To evaluate, analyze, and prepare regulatory reports for the Bank to the Bank of Namibia (BON) and Nedbank Group who in turn reports to the South African Reserve Bank (SARB)
Duties
- Gathering relevant information from internal stakeholders and populating returns
- Ensure timeous and relevant submissions to BON and Nedbank Group
- Complete various reconciliations between both the BON and SARB returns to the financial management accounts
- Interpret, understand, and ensure compliance with the Bank’s Act and Regulations relating to the Bank’s Act
- Ensure any new products is reported correctly
- Identify and follow up on external audit issues relating to regulatory requirements with the business
- Ensure sign-off of all returns
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in the Bank’s Culture building initiatives

Requisites
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
- Diploma
- Preferred Qualification:
- National Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Finance or relevant
- Minimum Experience Level:
- Must have completed Grade 12 (25points)
- Accounting background, experience, and a track record in regulatory reporting
- Must have 3 – 5 years relevant banking experience
