- The Group is looking for a Communications Assistant to join the team as soon as possible
- This role's aim will be to ensure clear internal communication of our company's message across all platforms, reporting to and assisting the Managing Director in all communication and networking efforts
Duties
- Provide administrative support to the Managing Director (Update databases and customer lists, maintain calendars and appointments, prepare presentations and reports and support with travel arrangements)
- Assist with the implementation of the organisation’s internal communications strategies, policies and procedures
- Assist with the development of ideas; identify opportunities for feature articles interviews, presentations and other internal communications that promote the awareness of the company
- Liaising with general management to develop consistent and engaging communications
- Working closely with the Human Resources to ensure optimal communications regarding policies, employee changes, change management and induction
- Working closely with Manica Information Technology in managing an optimal intranet platform, ensuring efficient organisation of information
- Soliciting and writing content for the intranet, articles, key messages, internal announcements, bulletin boards and policies
- Supporting the MD’s desk on all communications internally and externally
- Together with other teams develop integrated, new and innovative channels for communications
- Assist with organising company functions, exhibitions and news conferences
- To undertake other duties as required commensurate with the level of this post
Requisites
- BA in Communications or a related field is desired
- Proven experience as a Communications Assistant or similar role
- Understanding of employee relations and digital strategies
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign) and content management systems is a plus
- Solid editing and researching skills
- Excellent communication abilities (oral and written)
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Namibian Citizen
- Valid Driver’s license
