Engineering Manager: Network Development

Description

• Responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling projects within the division Network Development by translating organizational strategic objectives into tangible outcomes through the execution of annual work plans, active participation in the planning and organization of required financial and human resources and control whilst providing leadership and oversight for the subsection

Duties

• Direction of a Sub-section/ major function within RA
• Leading and directing Human Resources within the sub-section
• Management of road network projects
• Leading and directing engineering projects for roads construction and rehabilitation
• Driving quality control strategy
• Liaises with stakeholder on matters pertaining to roads projects

Requisites

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering preferably a Bachelor of Science (BSc in Civil Engineering)
• Registration as Professional Engineer or Incorporated Engineer by the Engineering Council of Namibia
• Eight (8) years’ experience in road design, construction, rehabilitation, upgrading and project management of which three (3) should be at lower management level.
• Code B driving license
• Competencies/Skills:
• Knowledge of the road maintenance
• Knowledge of project management
• Knowledge of the relevant road legislations
• Knowledge of structural calculation and design of culverts and bridges
• Design and planning abilities
• Planning and prioritizing skills
• Report writing skills
• Sound interpersonal skills
