Senior Security Officer

Description

• Applications are invited from suitably qualified Namibian applicants to fill the vacancy of Snr Security Officer within the Namdeb Security department

Duties

• Effectively implement the surveillance control plans
• Maintain access control philosophy
• Physical Security
• Patrols
• Proactively respond to security-related incidents
• Ensure effective utilization of surveillance equipment and access and egress to the mining areas production plants, and Recovery facilities
• Ensuring effective product protection measures are in place in order to protect the company’s assets and resources adhering whilst adhering to Security policies, procedures, objectives, and customer requirements at all designated sites

Requisites

• Grade 12 (20 points over 5 subjects and E in English)
• Code 08 driver’s license.
• Computer literate in Ms. Office (Packages);
• Three – Four years of generalist security-related experience as a security officer.
• Supervisory experience would be an added advantage
• National Certificate/or Diploma in Security and/or Risk Management would be an added advantage.
• Must be a disciplined, energetic, self-driven, proactive individual

• Thorough knowledge of security management practices, policies, and procedures as well as the relevant legislation and application thereof
• Disseminates regular reports with proper recommendations on all diamond and non-diamond security matters including initial and progress reports
• Displaying a good technical understanding of Security Systems
• Applicants must be willing to work shifts and be able to work well in a team
• Applicants will be required to undergo assessments
