Wilderness is recruiting a Chief Pilot, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Assigns and supervises the duties of Pilots by managing their overall standard of performance in accordance with the Namibia Aviation regulations
Duties
- Ensures that the flight operations aircraft are operated to the highest level of safety and that all crew members maintain professional standards at all times
- Manages, supports and is accountable for Pilots standard of performance
- Ensures adequate staffing levels of the crew for the scope of operation by developing, planning guidelines and controls the pilot schedules
- Monitors services and standards of sub contracted training
- Ensures that the flight schedule operates efficiently and cost effectively, maintaining a high level of service for guests and staff
- Analyses and verifies Pilot and other required crew records for completeness and accuracy
- Develops, reviews and implements standard operating procedures
- Responsible to ensure compliance to the Namibia Aviation Regulations
Requisites
- Education/Training:
- Valid Commercial Pilot’s License with a minimum of 2000 flying hours
- At least 3 years line flying experience in Namibia
- Rated on C210 and C208 aircraft
- Training Captain Status
- Management of a large group of junior and senior pilots
- Thorough knowledge of Wilderness Air’s operations and Standard Operating Procedures
- A sound working knowledge of Namibian aviation law and technical aspects of aircrafts
- Computer literate and with a high level of proficiency in aviation packages
