FNB Namibia is recruiting a Wills Drafting and Custody Officer, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To contribute to the success of the Will Drafting team by ensuring that all Wills are drafted professionally, accurately, efficiently, and timeously to the entire satisfaction of the Channel and Client, as well as ensuring that all process flows are adhered to in terms of documents kept in custody
Duties
  • Contribute to cost efficiencies through responsible utilization of work-related resources
  • Deliver customer service through adherence to quality service standards
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Comply with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements and adhere to processes and procedures related to area of specialization
  • Ensure operational excellence through the delivery of work processes according to defined quality standards
  • Report on transactional and process activities within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making
  • Provide Finance in Head Office with approvals on automated and new custody payments asper the custody payment report and ensure balancing
  • Attend to queries of clients regarding documents in custody
  • Provide sales support efficiencies and services to ensure growth and retention of wills clients in the channels
  • Complete the legality check for Wills received for filing and audit of documents in the filing boxes on a 6 monthly basis
  • Extract documents or legacy Wills as per request from Estate Department, Wills Draft Centre, and clients
  • Verification “Wills signed” statistics on a weekly and monthly basis and following up on Drafting and Custody rejection reports and advise Head Office and System when signed Wills Report statistics are accepted within prescribed timeline
  • Provide administration function of “Wills in Custody” by ensuring proper filing of Wills, debit order authority and verification of client’s details
  • Process new and automated custody payments and ensure the transfer of documents from and to other branches is done efficiently and on time
  • Draft and interpret Wills instructions to ensure the correct Introducer and commission recording
  • Edit Wills correctly as required and ensure updates, review dates and assets are recorded
Requisites
  • Minimum Requirement: Relevant Certificate or Diploma plus CIAB
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years experience related experience
  • Knowledge of laws relating to Wills, Estate Duty, Matrimonial, Donations, Trust and Income Tax Acts
  • Experience in Estate, Trust administration and Will drafting experience will be advantageous
