Agra is recruiting a Manager Shop Design Merchandising, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The successful incumbent will be based at Corporate Office and report to the Head of Procurement: Retail & Wholesale
Duties
- Plan, Develop, Implement and Monitor compliance of Retail & Wholesale merchandising strategies
- Analysing sales figures, customer reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs
- Negotiate with vendors and conduct cost analysis
- Plan and develop time lines and co-ordinate with vendors on shop features, fixtures and fittings on all new and refurbished shops
- Develop, test and implement merchandising best practises and store layout principles
- Thorough understanding of, and execution on product, placement, presentation, pricing and promotion
- To create an appealing store visual that showcase the relevant Agra brands
- Planning and executing floor plan arrangements and designs for new and refurbished branches
- Updating branch layouts based on sales reports and seasonal changes to maximise profitability
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate the implementation of shop design and merchandising guidelines, ensuring a consistent look across all branches and convenience stores
- Interpret sales information and proactively implements corrective action when necessary
- Recommend and pro-actively drive solutions on how to improve revenue growth and customer experience
- Collaborating with the marketing department on a continuous basis to ensure the branch layouts adhere to the Agra Corporate Identity
- Identify and implement local and international customer trends
- Training store staff on visual merchandising principals, techniques and trends
- Ensures a pro-active people management, development and succession planning
Requisites
- Namibian citizenship
- Relevant Qualification (e.g. Diploma in visual merchandising, consumer science, retail management and/or related fields)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a retail environment
- Working knowledge of current merchandising trends and best practices will serve as a distinct advantage
- Computer literate (MS Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning system, -Proficiency in design software)
- Proficiency in English
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be willing & able to travel extensively
