Capricorn Group is hiring a Corporate Finance Analyst, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, the individual will play a key role in building financial models, preparing valuations and transaction marketing material as well as investor packs for clients and investors
- Further to this, the role incumbent should provide assistance to and learn from senior team members, which would include assistance with the development and implementation of new financial business models as well as assist in the conceptualisation and implementation of various corporate actions and business development solutions
Duties
- Assist with a broad spectrum of transactions, including M&A, listings, disposals/ carve-outs, leveraged buyouts, and restructuring transactions as well as services such as valuations and due diligence
- Development of marketing material for Capricorn Corporate Finance and transaction-related marketing material for clients
- Preparation of pitchbooks for existing or potential clients
- Preparation of financial models; Preparation of various valuation methods including, inter alia, discounted free cash flow models to firm and to equity, dividend discount models, excess
- returns models, market and transaction multiples approaches
- Undertaking market, industry, or company-specific research and evaluations
- Assisting with the development of compelling sector-specific ideas/value propositions and proposals that will improve the success of the marketing plan or pitchbooks
- Being personally responsible for multiple facets of multiple deals that will lead to value creation for shareholders and stakeholders in the private and public client arenas
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and clients and building meaningful relationships in a supporting role
- Ability to take full responsibility for work and to continually and diligently work towards improving each successive deliverable
- Ability to follow instructions and respond positively and efficiently to feedback
- Ability to interact eloquently and effectively in a client-facing/ front-office role, predominantly with the CEO’s/MDs, CFO and CIOs of both listed and private corporations
Requisites
- Knowledge & Experience:
- One to two years relevant experience in an investment bank, boutique, or big four accounting firm
- Experience of financial modeling and valuations would be advantageous
- Possess a high level of integrity, high attention to detail, and the ability to build long-term relationships with the team and with clients
- Strong command of English (both spoken and written) and the ability to articulate ideas, concepts, and feedback well
- Ability to work well within a team and provide regular, well-structured updates, and effectively manage competing project timelines and deadlines
- Ability to perform well and at full capacity in a remote working environment
- Qualifications:
- CA qualification as a minimum
- CFA, MBA or similar qualification will be advantageous
