Hollard is hiring a Legal and Compliance Officer, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Responsible for all aspects of FIA / AML as AML Officer
- Development, implementation, maintenance, and testing of effective compliance processes, controls and systems, including competition law aspects
- Providing ongoing compliance training to employees countrywide
- Perform ongoing assessment to determine compliance levels throughout the business
- Take effective remedial actions to correct areas of weaknesses identified by Internal Audit, self-testing, or controls assessment
- Keep Management and Audit & Risk Committee informed on compliance status at all times though quality reports
- Advise Management on all applicable laws, regulations, standards, directives and the like and inform them about any development in these areas
- Providing ad hoc legal drafting, opinions, internal policies and advice
- Liaise with NAMFISA, FIC and legal counsel as needed
Requisites
- Legal qualification and/or compliance qualifications
- Admitted attorney in Namibia will be an added advantage
- 3 years' Compliance experience. Compliance experience in financial services compliance- and/or insurance environment would be a distinct advantage
