Portfolio Analyst (Listed Investments)

GIPF is recruiting a Portfolio Analyst (Listed Investments), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • Responsible for the daily administration of listed portfolios. this includes attending to queries, analyzing and resolving discrepancies across a variety of asset classes and products
  • Key Performance Areas:
  • Responsible for additional tasks including portfolio reporting, corporate actions, KYC or other ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Work effectively with large amounts of data and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Investment’s transactions reconciliations & fund processing
  • Strategic stakeholders’ communications
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting complex portfolio exceptions
  • Prepare material for quarterly performance communications and attends monthly administration and weekly investment meetings when planned.
  • Implementation of the investment committee recommendations an implementation of the investment related special projects
  • Innovation and personal development
Requisites
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Science, Accounting or a related field of study
  • A Master’s degree in the above field or CFA designation would be an added benefit
  • Five (5) years’ experience in the similar position, investment analysis or banking services environment
  • The incumbent should have the following knowledge, skills and Attributes:
  • Knowledge of:
  • Portfolio management, general investment, transactions and reconciliations, pension fund legislation, extensive data management, ESG principles, domestic and international investment markets and relevant systems for the execution of investments
  • Skills:
  • Analytical, interpersonal, networking, presentation, report writing, negotiation, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Detail conscious, calm disposition, discreet, integrity, emotional and inter-cultural intelligence, service oriented, business ethics, lateral thinking, Positive attitude, team player and independent thinker
