Executive Upstream Development & Production

NAMCOR is recruiting an Executive Upstream Development & Production, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • Formulate the Development & Production Strategy & Policies (To develop the business opportunities and department strategy in line with a company strategy):
  • Delivers project management, strategic planning, and implementation support for key organisational initiatives as assigned by the Managing Director. The responsibility will include leading and directing several projects from small to multi- functional project team, including but not limited to subsurface staff
  • Prepare and budget for Development & Production programs:
  • Prepares and develops an initial budget for the Department in line with NAMCOR’s annual budget planning cycle
  • Ensures that a budget discussion session take place for all D&P Department activities
  • Oversee Upstream Development and Production Portfolio’s Activities for NAMCOR:
  • Deliver the NAMCOR strategy for ESG-conscious hydrocarbon development & and sustainable production on both local and international assets
  • Develops and maintains a technical proficient department, which will consistently meet or exceed target reserves replacement and production goals
  • Represent NAMCOR in JV partnerships:
  • Represents NAMCOR at all JOC’s to ensure that NAMCOR interest are protected and to ensure NAMCOR expectations are carried out
  • Oversee and approve on behalf of NAMCOR field development programs, in line with NAMCOR’s field development strategy
  • Embrace Safety, Heath, and Environment practices
  • Negotiate & Conclude Agreements
  • Regulatory Compliance (To advise MME on all issues pertaining to Development and Production activities conducted by operators in Namibia)
  • New Ventures Development (To provide regulation advise to MME as required by the Act)
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Supervise Staff and Capacity Development
Requisites
  • Master’s in science Degree in Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution with 8 years relevant experience or
  • Science Degree in Petroleum Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution very similar qualification with 10 years relevant experience
  • The incumbent will require a minimum of 5 year’s managerial experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, i.e. engineering, geology, geophysics
