RMB Namibia is recruiting a Markets Control Officer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- To provide efficient and effective administration support and data analytics to ensure the smooth running of the Markets functional area
- Responsibilities:
- Align and integrate administrative support tasks and activities across
- Trade and Execution including structuring within the Markets team
- Carry out the necessary financial reconciliations and follow up on queries handed over to other parties or areas to ensure delivery on agreed timelines and SLAs
- Follow up and resolve any trade related queries
- Actively monitor and manage all collateral positions
- Calculate and ensure that profit and loss as well as credit and capital charges are recovered and accounted for correctly
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiencies
- Deliver a quality service through meeting agreed turnaround times, and ensuring availability, reliability, and accuracy
- Perform macroeconomic and market research and data analytics
- Ensure first time resolution of relevant internal queries or escalations in accordance with operational goals and standards to enhance service delivery
- Comply with and adhere to identified governance and compliance standards and escalate problems for investigation and resolution
- Identify and escalate risk as normal part of work
- Provide timeous reports on operations, performance, and audit findings
- Maintains control over the flow of original documents, legal agreements, and confirmations, adhering to laid down procedures
- Ensure that an accurate electronic tracking process is maintained
- Assumes accountability for the accurate record keeping and filling of documents in the team
- Assists with the development and formalisation of the team's safekeeping process
Requisites
- Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualification - Degree BSc or BCom (preferably in
Mathematical, Economics, Statistical field)
- Preferred Qualification - ACI Dealing Certificate, 6 months to comply
Honours or CFA Level 1 would be advantageous
- Experience – 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Additional Knowledge - Global and financial markets
- Research methodology
- Excel, VBA and any other statistical data applications
- Have good business acumen
- Time management
- Be self-motivated and able to competently lead oneself
- Displays logical thinking and can segment challenges into manageable components
- Knows how to use technological developments to the benefit of the business and our clients
- Additional Requirements:
