Manager: Liaison and Community Development

Rossing Foundation is recruiting a Manager: Liaison and Community Development, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • A vacancy exists for a Manager: Liaison and Community Development, reporting to the Executive Director at the Rössing Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing as well as overseeing all Community Development, Information Resources and Enterprise Development portfolio of Rössing Foundation optimally
  • Key performance areas:
  • Strategic planning and execution; policy formulation
  • Liaising and establishing good/sound working relationship and trust; promote and manage the reputation of Rössing Foundation; ensure continuous communication and feedback to stakeholders
  • Budgeting and cost controlling; financial reporting; identifying funding opportunities
  • Overseeing the implementation of the Enterprises Development programmes and community livelihood improvement initiatives; monitor program implementation and coordinate the evaluation process reporting
  • Leadership support and guidance to staff members; information resources management; recruitment and selection of staff
  • Ensuring continuous compliance with safety standards for all employees; compile Safety Improvement Plans; conduct risk assessments
Requisites
  • Minimum requirements
  • A recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education Technology, Enterprise Development/Entrepreneurship, Community Development or similar
  • A postgraduate qualification in any of the specified fields would be a distinct advantage.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years working experience in community/enterprise development sector and a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience
