Sanlam is recruiting a Junior Business Development Manager, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- The candidate will be responsible for administration and sales support to the Business Development Manager and the distribution channels
- Assist BDM with training and relationship building of intermediaries and assistants
- Manage and track progress of all new business submitted including liaising with BDM to assist with challenging cases
- Manage and track progress of all admin instructions submitted including liaising with Glacier admin on SLA’s
- Attending to general day-to-day tasks associated with supporting the BDM and Compliance when dealing with clients and intermediaries to ensure quick turnaround times
- Telephone enquiries and written communication
- Assisting clients/intermediaries with processes & business
- Work closely with BDM and Compliance to communicate about panels and distribute tasks accordingly to maximize productivity and know where pressure points are to be addressed
- Assist BDM with reporting functions
- Conduct yearly data quality of clients & intermediaries
- Ensure that Re-FIA forms are completed and processed correctly
- Responsible for the public sector market
Requisites
- 3 Year Tertiary Education in any management or finance related direction and 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the investment /collective investment service industry
- 1 to 2 years experience in the LISP environment – should have worked directly with Intermediaries and Distribution Managers
- Knowledge of administrative processes
- Fluent in English
- Telephone etiquette
- Valid Driver’s License
- Computer literate – this includes Microsoft Outlook , Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Knowledge and Skills:

- Assist with strategic business development plan
