Vivo Energy is recruiting a General Ledger (GL) Accountant, to be based in Rundu, Namibia.
Duties
- Ensure accurate preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of GL accountant to financial statements and data accuracy. Additionally, partake in all internal and external audits.
- Principal Accountabilities
- Reconciliation
- Reconciliation of various GL accounts
- Process Journal Entries and other transactions as required
- Financial reporting and analysis:
- Analysis of various operating expense accounts for business understanding
- Analysis of various performance measures, as required
- Accurate and complete preparation of monthly group IFRS Financial Statements
- Accurate and complete preparation of local Annual Financial Statements
- Internal and external audits:
- Assist in the preparation of both internal and external audits by putting the necessary documentation together for review and submission
- Take lead in collection of requested audit documentation
- Assist in the closure of audit requests
- Other Adhoc finance duties
Requisites
- Finance degree, or related qualification
- At least 3 years’ relevant finance experience
- Good systems skills and knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP) processing systems
- Good communications skills
- Self starter
