Namclear is recruiting an Operator: Cards (C2), in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- NAMCLEAR is the Namibian Automated Clearing House (ACH) and is a designated Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI) for the National Payment System
- The incumbent will monitor the operations of Namclear’s Cards Systems, including Cards equipment and infrastructure, to ensure that these systems can effectively and efficiently perform all the processing tasks and functions required by Namclear and its stakeholders
- The incumbent will also identify, resolve and address all related queries and problems to ensure smooth flow and processing of all input and output information and compliance with all related Service Level Agreements and liaise with Cards PCH Participant Groups
Requisites
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- A relevant Banking Certificate or Diploma will be an added advantage
- At least two years of working experience in computerized operations environment
- At least two years of working experience in a large financial institution with exposure to payment systems
- Must work on a 24-hour shift schedule from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays
Technical
- Adequate knowledge of computer systems, software, and procedures related to the job
- In-depth CARD Payment, switching, clearing, and settlement knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of CARDS data information requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project)
- The position requires excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, planning, administrative, and organizational skills
- Furthermore, the incumbent must be a team player and have a passion for service
