Capricorn Group is recruiting a Wealth Support Officer: Investments, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Deliver holistic administrative and other support to the whole Wealth team, be able to communicate clearly and manage client queries as well as offer basic investment advice

Client Investment Options and Advice
- Capricorn Unit Trusts
- Republic of Namibia Treasury Bills, Government Bonds
- Selected third party unit trust funds on the Capricorn Investment Platform
- Investment Linked Life Annuities, Retirement Annuities and Preservation funds on Sanlam Namibia SPP platform
- Offshore investment options on Sanlam Private Wealth investment platform
- Investment products created by Capricorn Asset Management
- Other Capricorn investment products
Platform Administration
- Design, create and maintain relevant MIS reports (CAM Wealth Clients Main File, CPW Clients Main File, etc)
- Handle client queries and fully assist in client investment needs on all relevant investment or banking systems
- Arrange rebalancing sessions with CAM Wealth Clients and agent
- Prepare Rebalancing Sheets prior to each client meeting
- Prepare necessary documents before meeting
- Prepare Wealth Reports
- Prepare monthly peer comparison graphs
- Prepare monthly iQuest tool
- Prepare monthly rebalancing tool
- Manage income reviews on ILLA clients
- Update weekly Treasury Bill (TB) rates
- Prepare TB maturity sheets
- Complete documentation prepared by agent
- Ensure that client documentation is in line with the latest FIA Policy e.g. D, marriage certificate, etc.
- Request Astute info from Sanlam and other life insurers
- Once received compile portfolio summary schedule for client
- Prepare Sanlam quotation
- Prepare physical Wealth File
- Arrange for medical for client with mobile nurse (blood tests and doctor’s appointments)
- Send through Letter of Authority WIB and follow up with relevant contact
- Deal with client issues by acting as intermediary between client and CAM administration
- Scan and save relevant client documentation on server
- Forward Will applications to Estate and Trust Department
- Check prepared Wills against application for errors
- Make appointments for Wills to be signed
- Update Fiduciary Client Sheet as and when required
- Prepare Will files for vault
- Forward Trust application forms to clients
- Prepare (Typing) Trust Deeds and Supporting Documents
- Prepare Resolutions on Requests – Email for signatures
- Typing of letters
- Scanning and filing of documents, correspondence etc.
- Prepare payment advice/deposit slips
- Assisting with minutes during Trustee meetings
Customer Focus
- Attend to any general client queries
- Contact clients on outstanding matters/documentation
- Be able to deal with affluent clients in a professional manner
Self-Development
- Have sufficient knowledge on investment products and services in order to provide general advice and guidance to clients
- Constantly work to improve industry knowledge
- Build long-lasting and trustful relationships with clients
- Familiar and high aptitude on various systems including Microsoft Office, Phoenix, Silica, Money Mate, Glacier
- People Management: Actively build and encourage collaborative team relationships to help accomplish team goals
Requisites
- Tertiary education in BCom/Economics/Business Administration or similar
- At least 2 years relevant experience in administration
General
- Must be prepared/willing to do any reasonable and lawful instruction/task and ensure that it is carried out on time and correct
- Experience/Knowledge and Skills:
- Be fully informed of all relevant investment products, availability, general performance and current market prices
- Be able to identify prospective clients, attract and offer them relevant investment options and generate business according to predetermined targets
- Be able to manage and maintain a large book of affluent investors
- Be up to date with all relevant legislation, best practices and compliance regulations
- Be up to date with all the information and fine details of CUT funds and CPW products and services
- Willingness and ability to commute to client choice of venue and deal with relevant matters there
- Pro-actively identify cross-selling opportunities within existing portfolio of clients, and give leads to responsible manager
- Ability to create a suitable investment portfolio for clients in line with CAM and general investment norms
- Ensure that clients' needs are met at all times by making sure all business units work together as a team
- Retain ownership of customers' request, complaints and applications and keep customer up to date
