Debmarine is recruiting an Information Security: Security Specialist, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Actively monitor the Information Security Policies and frameworks across the IM and OT environments and report to the Information Security Manager for non-compliance
- Serves as an expert advisor to IM administrators and the business in developing, implementing, and maintaining an increasingly resilient information security management system
- Provides cyber–Security Analyst duties and responsibilities
Provides monthly technical security compliance reports to the IM Manager: Information Security to assist with the formulation of strategic action plans to reduce the overall Cyber exposure within the Business Units
- Continually do technical risk assessments to identify security risk areas impacting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information within business units’ infrastructures
- Identifies, documents, and implements a plan to mitigate the technical security risks of each site and escalate to the IM Manager: Information Security for further actions with relevant stakeholders
- Acts as a mediator between the Namibian Group of Companies’ IM, A&I teams and security operations (Global SoC) to provide technical support during the incident management process
- Facilitates the incident/ticket resolution by coordinating the necessary resources for remediation, e.g., requesting technicians to resolve network incidents required as part of remediation and providing feedback to the IM Manager: Information Security and Global SoC
- Provides onsite assistance to the Global SoC digital forensic teams by providing a single point of contact at the site and facilitating forensic recovery activities
- Produces routine and bespoke cyber security and hygiene reports for IM Manager: Information Security to maintain the quality of security services to escalate identified incidents if required
- Engages with and identifies the business requirements for reporting and ensures that source material is enabled in a timely and proactively manner
- Identifies patterns and trends in the reporting data and advises IM Manager: Information Security on continual service improvement to facilitate better decision-making and more comprehensive security strategy formulation
- Provides technical support and makes it easier for the Global IM Vulnerability Management (VM) function to do its job by giving information about the site BU's infrastructure environment to reduce security risks
- Identifies site BU Vulnerability scanning needs and coordinates scanning activities to deliver the information security management system requirements
- Delivers regular scanning reports to the Information Security Manager and coordinates remedial actions
- Identifies specific training requirements for each relevant BU technical support team (e.g., IM administrators and A&I technical staff) and build technical training material to support continual service improvements
- Coordinates training for each site’s technical staff, including formulating annual training plans, tracking training of each site and reporting progress to the IM Manager: Information Security
Requisites
- Relevant degree in Information Technology or equivalent with a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) (ISC)² will be an added advantage
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in cyber security
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Cisco network devices
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in project management
- Experience in Firewall Administration will be an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft IIS/Windows, or equivalent server platforms
- Experience in Penetration testing will be an advantage
- Experiences in Cyber Security tools like Qualys, Darktrace and
CrowdStrike will be an added advantage
- Security Management experience will be an added advantage
