FNB Namibia is recruiting a Project Office Management Head, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Responsible for managing a team of experienced project managers dedicated to the successful delivery of projects across the business
- Responsibilities:
- Achievement of net profit growth for Business through application of effective projects
- Work with business unit purchasing leadership to incorporate the impact associated with sourcing team efforts into operating budgets and to ensure that appropriate, relevant procurement management information is available
- Establish, align and manage target and budget goals for the Business Unit, whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency through Projects
- Develop and implement differentiated project service models for client segments.
- Guide the process to communicate team progress with the FNB CFO and CEO and senior business unit leadership and ensure clear alignment between team actions and business unit interests
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
- Champion the implementation of the new Centre Led Procurement Organization so as to secure total cost of ownership (TCO) reductions and to institutionalize strategic sourcing across FNB, and oversee and guide the development and execution of Category strategies through the strategic sourcing process
- Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices. Ensure drafting and implementation of appropriate interventions. Ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Communicate overall sourcing trends/results to management on an ongoing basis and prepare a comprehensive communication strategy/approach to build FNB-wide awareness on how to manage sourcing costs more effectively
- Drive the development, implementation and monitoring of best procurement processes and systems by facilitating the setting of policies and standards, ensuring effective implementation of the agreed processes and procedures and ensuring those best practices are widely adopted by FNB’s business groups
- Keep abreast of the organization's core business and departmental functions policies, procedures and business practices, and review and transform existing policy and practices to support the FNB vision
- Develop materials and documentation including minimum standards, templates, guidelines, FAQ’s and processes for all projects
- Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data of all projects
- Execute the Business Unit people strategy that nurtures talent and embraces the values, culture and philosophy of entrepreneurship, accountability and innovation in order to meet current and future business needs through the strategic projects
- Hold direct reports accountable for the implementation of Leadership Strategy that drive behaviour towards high performance
Requisites
- Post Graduate qualification in Business, Science or Engineering
- 4-6 years experience in project management in the Financial Services industry, preferably in Investment Banking or Treasury environment
