Gondwana Collection is recruiting an Environmental Park Warden (m/f), to be based in Khomas Region, Namibia.
Duties
- Manage the Gondwana Canyon Park in accordance with the Park Management Plan and the Gondwana Environmental Policies
- Oversee and guide overall Park duties and exercise leadership skills to supervise rangers/guides activities
- Coordinate the implementation and improvement of Lodge Environmental Management Plans and the Gondwana Environmental Policies and Guidelines
- Ensure sound, adaptive and balance wildlife and veld management is implemented in the Park
- Work closely with lodge staff to ensure integration and coordination of lodge and park activities
- Coordinate guest activities in the Park
- Ensure the park is fully operational within its operating budget
- Be a point of contact for Park neighbours, MEFT and other institutions
Requisites
- Fluent in English. Afrikaans and German will be an advantage
- Independent and ability to make good decisions
- A Valid Code B Driver’s License
- Three (3) years’ working experience in natural resource management or wildlife and park management
- Good computer and report writing skills
- Good technical skills, including electrical and mechanical proficiency
- Good knowledge of Namibia’s tourism industry and the Gondwana Collection Namibia offerings
- Clean criminal record
