Old Mutual is recruiting an Operations Manager (m/f), in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Responsible for execution of tactical business plans at operational level
- Optimizing operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards
- Ensuring of business compliance to relevant regulatory frameworks & and group policies and the reporting thereof
- Providing support for the internal quality assessments and quarterly audits
- Identifying ways to enhance customer experiences and ensuring operational efficiency
- Identify continuous process enhancement through root cause problem solving and manage the analysis, design and implementation
- Facilitating the implementation and coordinating of Business IT project initiatives
- Provide Training on implemented Business projects/processes
- Facilitate the implementation of new Business Product development aligned to the Business Plan and Strategy
- Responsible for the review & updating of Service Level Agreements
- Perform User Acceptance, Staging and Production Tests in the Business systems
- Perform Ad-hoc/Monthly/Quarterly Customer experience, Risks & Compliance, IT and Operations related reporting to the rest of the Management and Board
- Identification, Tracking, Analyzing and Reporting Business fraud cases
- Analysing of Data in excel and creating of Databases (Programming) for the Business
- Conduct Market intelligence & provide recommendation to the Management
- Maintaining and updating of the Business Complaints System, Tracking, Analysing and Reporting of Customer numbers, Customer Complaints & Compliments
- Responsible for Business Market Conduct compliance and reporting
- Crafting of client’s communiques as well as to the sales support team on new processes, product (s) or changing regulatory environment requirements
- Maintaining & updating of Business Continuity Plans
- Maintaining & updating of Unit Trust Risks & Regulatory risks database (on Cura system)
- Facilitating the preparation and the implementation of new regulatory requirements
- Manage effective communications & engagements with Business stakeholders
- Provide support to the Business Administration & Operations, Investment, Business Development and the Sales & Distribution Team
- Collaborate effectively to achieve personal and business wide results
- Performing of Ad-hoc Activities as instructed by Management
Requisites
- Namibian Citizenship
- Bachelor’s Degree in Investment, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Risks & Compliance Management, Project Management or Business Administration/Management is preferred
- 5-10 years Investment/Unit Trust, Banking, Finance, Compliance, Risks & Project Management experience
- Sound business knowledge, compliance & regulatory experience is advantageous
- Computer literate
- Strong Project Management experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
- Excellent numerical ability
- Strong problem-solving and excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Excellent Report writing skills
