Namibia Institute of Pathology is recruiting a Chief Medical Technologist (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- The primary purpose of the position is to provide supervisory and technical services for overall operation, quality assurance, methodology and its processes in the clinical laboratory
- The position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling personnel and workload, for ensuring compliance with all safety and other related regulations and for accuracy of all data obtained and reported
Requisites
- Accredited B. Sc. or equivalent qualification (not less than 3 years training course) in Medical/Biomedical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Additional Category Qualification in Microbiology registered with HPCNA
- Specialization in Medial Microbiology (Masters level ) will be an advantage
- Experience and track record of implementing Quality Management Systems in an accredited laboratory
- 5 years Relevant postgraduate, licensed experience in a clinical laboratory environment since first registration as MLT, specifically in microbiology
- 3 years experience should be at supervisory level
- Registration with the Health Professionals Council of Namibia
