FNB Namibia is recruiting a Data Analyst (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • To provide expertise and support through translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions by analyzing data, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending improvements to data quality, access and management
  • Identify, control and escalate potential risks which may lead to increased costs
  • Manage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
  • Deliver against operational and cost targets
  • Build relationships that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buy-in
  • Engage in cross-functional relationships to obtain and to provide work support
  • Meet or exceed service delivery targets in support of operational objectives
  • Ensure that service delivery is accurate, timeous and of a high standard
  • Build professional long-term relationships with customers based on trust that builds the brand
  • Offer appropriate solutions to meet customer needs
  • Provide customers with relevant information to keep them informed of products and service options
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability
  • Ensure implementation of relevant policies, governance and practice standards across the business
  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements
  • Ensure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by organization
  • Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialization and identify risks
  • Innovate by finding the best fit solution for the situation such as the flexibility of delivery and customized solutions which result in more efficient outcomes
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data
  • Provide regular reports on delivery of services against agreed service level agreements and in terms of overall customer targets
  • Accumulate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities
  • Execute relevant Business Intelligence or Analytics projects/initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
  • Build, test and implement Dashboards and BI solutions that improve business outcomes, focused on reduced risk and costs, increased profitability, optimized efficiency and to facilitate strategic decision-making
  • Continuously enhance and automate recurring reports to drive business efficiencies.
  • Manage testing defects of dashboards and involve relevant business staff in quality assurance testing analysis
  • Involvement in new projects, design and develop data analytic solutions in line with business requirements and service ad-hoc requests through information from clients within the required timeframe and specification
  • Analyse derived information to create value added knowledge of the bank's products, channels, service levels, trends, or customers
  • Keep abreast of innovations in financial services and make recommendations on process improvements to assist in achieving business objectives
Requisites
  • Minimum Qualification : Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Analysis Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years related experience with Business Intelligence, implementation and solutions re-engineering within financial services
