FNB Namibia is recruiting a Data Engineer (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- To provide required support within guidance of set processes and procedures to ensure effective movement, collection, integration, storage and provisioning of data to build solutions and meet business objectives through understanding of business unit requirements and collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to cost efficiencies through responsible utilization of work related resources
- Administer database performance tuning, disaster recovery (backup/restore) and information security
- Manage acquisition, consumption and deployment of data for operational use
- Provide required support in designing and developing systems, and solutions
- Manage data and system integration and testing
- Contribute to teamwork and inclusivity within own team
- Identify and utilize opportunities to assess and improve own performance
- Report on transactional and process activities within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making
- Ensure operational excellence through the delivery of work processes according to defined quality standards
- Comply with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements and adhere to processes and procedures related to area of specialization
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
Requisites
- Minimum Qualification - Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems
- Experience - 1 to 3 years experience in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) of data from source systems and utilizing SQL as a data management language
- Additional Knowledge - A Strong knowledge of Core Banking Systems and other Information Systems used in the Banking Environment
