Manager: Safety & Security Systems and Services (m/f)

Description

• To develop, manage and refine the NAMDIA S&S total system, ensuring superior security of people, assets and value, through physical, systems and personnel based defences and mitigation. To continuously monitor and assess the efficacy of the NAMDIA systems and develop and refine the complementary components that will constitute the most effective layers of security for the NAMDIA scenario and its requirements
• To develop an adequate in-house capacity for managing all situations, also the high security phase of diamonds purchases and sales, complemented by high quality and credibility service providers, and manage these resources in a positive and developmental manner, together resulting in an effective, well-balanced approach to NAMDIA Security & Safety
• To ensure immediacy of access to support at complementary staffing and technical services level
• To advise strategy and long-term plans of NAMDIA as they may impact security and safety needs, and provide solutions to anticipated challenges in that regard

Duties

• NAMDIA Safety and Security System Conceptual Integrity and Effectiveness
• Safety and Security Annual Plan and follow through effectiveness
• Safety and Security System Operational Policies and Procedures
• Proactive Security Discipline Effectiveness
• Technical Integrity, functionality and Operational Uptime Effectiveness
• Physical Premises Security and maintenance Integrity and Effectiveness
• Product in Transit/production Security Integrity and Effectiveness
• Management of Outsourced Service Effectiveness

Requisites

• Honours Degree in Security Management, Police Science or related fields
• NQF Level 8
• Ten (10) years appropriate experience in this area of expertise of which at least six (6) years in a professional role and at least 2 years heading up support department.
• Driver’s License Code B
