Namib Mills is recruiting an Industrial Relations Practitioner (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- To ensure compliance with Human Resources and Industrial Relations policies, procedures, processes and labour legislation
- Assist Human Resource Practitioners and Managers with disciplinary process enquiries
- Assist with training on disciplinary processes and legislation
- Chair disciplinary hearings
- Assist with the review of disciplinary hearing outcomes conducted by external consultants
- Assist with general union liaison
- Assist with annual wage negotiations
- Assist with labour related queries and ensure compliance with Namibian and South Africa labour legislation
- Assist with conciliations and arbitrations
- Record and report Industrial Relations statistics
- Assist with general industrial relations administration
- Perform ad hoc tasks
Requisites
- LLB degree with one (1) year articles or relevant experience
- Namibian Citizen
- Thorough knowledge of Namibian and South African Labour Legislation
- Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license
