Namibia Dairies is recruiting a Process Controller (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To oversee units of production such as pasteurization, homogenization, sterilization including freezing and storage of products. Attend to the primary process of milk, by-products, cream and juices and process according to recipes, set standards and work instructions, while adhering to Health & Safety and Hygiene principles. Adhere to Good manufacturing practices and ISO & Food safety standards to execute the production plan effectively and efficiently by communicating and executing production schedules. Commit to continuously improve current processes and give feedback on challenges, monitoring quality standards and ensure correct completion of documents while focusing on reducing waste. Ensure strict adherence to procedures to ensure product quality consistency and shelf life
Duties
  • Maintain machinery and equipment as per weekly/monthly maintenance plan
  • Inspect silos and holding/mixing tanks and verify that CIP has been performed and record information.
  • Implement standard operating procedures
  • Pasteurize all required products as per production plan
  • Accurately record pasteurization records on the production sheet and issue to Team Leader Processing
  • Report and conduct root cause analysis together with Quality when mishaps take place
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Conduct Evaluation of ingredients as per schedule
  • Assist NPD with new product development with recipe conception, measuring and evaluation
  • Monitor the Production Cooler and ensure recons takes place to avoid raw material write off
  • Accurately prepare & maintain all area paperwork in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information
  • Verify all charts including frequency and product recording temperatures
  • Housekeeping and HACCP
  • Lead the team in the absence of the Team Leader
  • Provide input into training manuals and work instructions
  • Perform inspections and report machine malfunctions to Team Leader Processing and Maintenance immediately
  • Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area
Requisites
  • B.Sc. Agriculture Food Science & Technology
  • Basic knowledge in FMCG processes
  • Solid understanding of GMP & HACCP principles
