CRAN is recruiting a Strategic Planning Co-Ordinator (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The Strategic Planning Co-ordinator has the primary responsibility to facilitate and support Executives in
designing the strategy for the organization, to provide the strategic direction for CRAN and to ensure the
business model is sustainable and aligned to the overall organizational strategy. The position reports to the
Chief Executive Officer
Duties
Strategic Planning
- Facilitates and supports Executive Management to initiate the core strategic planning process
- Contributes with global best practice and executive direction to set and design the strategic direction of
the company within the regulatory environment
- Designs the functional strategy and cross-functional strategy in collaboration with Executives which
underlines the overall strategic objectives of the organization
- Leads, identifies, researches, formulates, and collaborates with Executives and Board on strategic
financial and operational direction of the organization
- Monitors the implementation of the annual budget for strategic implementation to ensure that CRAN
remains within budget
Performance Management of Balanced Scorecard
- Co-ordinates the formulation of the annual performance agreements and assessment matrix for
Executives
- Manages the performance management assessment process for Executives in accordance with the
approved performance management policy/process
- Reports on and facilitates non-performance in accordance with the approved performance management
policy/procedure
- Tracks, monitors and reports on overall organizational target achievements
Business Process Management
- Co-ordinates with the business process division to monitor implementation progress and report on
completion/progress
- Conducts periodic Impact Assessments to determine the scope of Business Continuity activities
- Provides co-ordination and correlation required for Business Process and Innovation
- Analyses and reviews the financial/funding requirements and results in relation to annual operational
plans
- Analyses and reviews the financial/funding requirements and results in relation to the strategic business
plan
- Reviews and analyses the investment funding and foreign investments to ensure alignment to the
investment strategy in collaboration with EXCO and recommend alignment if identified
- Constructs and manages the enterprise transition to ensure the business transforms in relation to the
overall strategic business strategy and objectives
- Collaborates with Executives on the functional and cross-functional strategic projects, for initiatives to be
implemented in accordance with the strategic business plan initiatives
Requisites
- A relevant Master’s in Strategic Management/Design or Master’s in Business Administration or International
Business, Enterprise Risk Management or Project management
- Five (5) years relevant work experience as a Strategic Co-ordinator in a corporate or regulatory
environment, plus two (2) years Middle Management/Supervisory level experience
- Sound knowledge of the Communications Regulatory sector in Namibia
- Knowledge of the strategic management models, principles, and best practices
- Knowledge on Project Management principles
- Knowledge on Performance Management theory
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit proof of Namibian Police clearance
