Accor is recruiting a Reservations Manager (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • The Reservations Manager will exceed our guests’ expectations in planning and executing guest bookings including group bookings while ensuring the best return value for the hotel. Supervising the general job performance of reservation staff implementing of policies and procedures under guidance of his/her direct reports, training, and perform any other duties that might requested by senior management within the scope of this role
Duties
  • Having knowledge of entire Reservation Procedure according to brand standards
  • Responsible for Hotel and Local Reservations and Management of external platforms
  • Handling of correspondences via e-mail, telephone and external platforms
  • Allocate daily tasks to Reservations staff
  • Review reservation booked daily
  • Review arrival report daily
  • Responsible for preparation of occupancy forecast
  • Responsible for staff training
  • Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures
  • Responsible for recording Company/Travel Agent Rates both in system and correspondence file
  • Liaise with Sales Department in regards to occupancy, Rates Reservation's Analysis
  • Identify Top Producing Accounts and ensures proper recognition by Reservation staff
  • Responsible for various Production reports and supply to each department concerned.
  • Monitoring Telephone Manner and general performance of reservations staff daily
  • Ensure special handling of repeats guest and very VIP guest
  • Review room blocking for Long Stay. Suites and special group request
  • Supervising of Group Reservations
  • Maintain cordial relations with commercial clients
  • Bring to the attention Manager when the hotel availability status be changed and prepare for necessary action
  • Responsible for work schedule
  • Responsible for maintaining a Neat and Orderly position at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
Requisites
  • Previous customer related experience required
  • Previous Property Manager System experience essential
  • Computer experience at intermediate to advanced level is mandatory with knowledge of Windows 2000 (Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Access)
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Good understanding of luxury market
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as Reservations Manager or Front Office Manager in a Hotel environment
